County Galway, like Clare; has many hundreds of flower species inhabiting its landscapes, many of which also inhabit some other parts of Ireland. The list below contains only flora that is less likely to be found in other counties or is only to be found in County Galway. A wide variety of flora does exist within this region and indeed some unlikely inhabitants can be found, especially within Connemara National Park.
