Like County Clare in part, this coast does not have the expansive spectacular sandy beaches that are features of other parts of Ireland. There are many beaches, but in general they are small and often have stone or gravel as well as, or even instead of, sand!
We have included freshwater lake beaches as well as sea beaches. Enjoy, be sensible, take care and please, if you can't find a bin or recycling facility, then take your rubbish home to be disposed of !! Remember, it only becomes litter when someone drops it.
