Hey my name is John, im 19 and im from Dublin. My dad Martin Bugler is from County Clare but grew up in Limrick with most of his family and relations that still live there today. He moved to Dublin in his late teens, settled down and later had a family, the children were Austin(16), Caroline(21), John (Me). He passed away 8 years ago. My mother Angela Bugler is planning to moving to the U.S in the coming years and the rest of us are thinking of joining her. What age are all of you and where do you live now?

My father is William Bugler, son of Albert Bugler. Father was born in Hull but most of family resided in Weymouth area. Family anecdotes indicate we were huguenots based around Brittainy. I also spoke to a someone recently and it came up in conversation that many Buglers came to the UK via the east-end of London - does anyone know anything of this. I am thinking of finding out more of my direct ancestry on the bugler side so will keep you updated. One last thing - my grandfathers cousin was Gertrude Bugler, the actress whom Thomas Hardy wrote Tess of The D'ubervilles for - I have some info on this if anyone is interested.

I have always believed my ancestors immigrated from England to Canada.

My name is Michael Joseph Bugler the seventh child & fourth son of ten children born to Michael Bugler & Lily (Ford) Bugler. My grandfather was Michael/Thomas Bugler who came to Australia with two brothers Andrew & Denis & settled outside of Toowoomba in Qld. They were very successful farmers but died relatively young and are buried at Helidon. My sister entered religious life as a Brigidine and was awarded The Order of Australia for her work with mentally frail children including the sister of President Kennedy in America. We have all visited Ireland and Ennis/Scariff/Whitegate and in turn been visited by Irish Relatives. We are very interested in any information regarding ancestry. Through working as a volunteer with the Mormoms I have traced the name back to the early 18th century in Limerick. As far as I can find the Buglers were Catholic, in Australia we are known as such.

MY DAD HENRY MATTHEW BUGLER WAS THE SON OF PAT BUGLER. MY DAD LEFT IRELAND IN 1928 AND CAME TO AMERICA. HE MET MY MOM WHO CAME FROM DUBLIN AND THEY MARRIED. I WAS BORN SHORTLY THEREAFTER. MY DADS FARM WAS ABOUT 180 ACRES AND THEY RAISED WHITE FACE CATTLE. THEIR FARM WAS IN ADAIR AT CASTLE ROBERTS IN COUNTY LIMERICK. THEY LOST A SHIPMENT OF CATTLE GOING OVER TO ENGLAND IN A STORM. PAPPY DID NOT BELIEVE IN INSURANCE. SO BECAUSE OF A STORM WHICH DESTROYED A GOOD MANY HEAD OF CATTLE I HAVE THE PRIVILEGE AND HONOR OF BEING BORN. PRAISE THE LORD. MY MOM LOVED DRAMA AND WHEN SHE ARRIVED SHE CO-FOUNDED THE IRISH DRAMA LEAGUE IN BROOKLYN NY. SHE CO-PRODUCED AND ACTED IN O'CASEY PLAYS. SHE CAUGHT MY DADS EYE ONE EVENING AS SHE GLIDED ACROSS THE BOARDS AND INTO THE LIMELIGHT. A FEW WEEKS PASSED AND HE WORKED UP THE COURAGE TO APPROACH HER AFTER ONE NIGHTS PERFORMANCE. GOD LOVE IS GRAND. MY MOMS HOUSE WAS 77 LOMBARD STREET OFF THE SOUTH CIRCLE ROAD. SHE LIVED NOT FAR FROM MAUDE PIERCE. SHE REMEMBERS THE CANNON ROAR OF EASTER WEEK 1916. SHE WAS OUTSIDE THE KILMAINHAM PRISON IN PRAYER THE DAY THEY SHOT PADRIC PIERCE. OHHHHHH AND A TERRIBLE BEAUTY WAS BORN. GOD BLESS YOU ONE AND ALL.
