County Clare - Beaches

Spanish Point

This once quiet seaside village has recently been heavily overbuilt by hundreds of far-from-lovely concrete bungalows, caravan parks and food out-lets: close your eyes on the way to the very fine beach. Like Lahinch, there can be good Atlantic waves, and occasional surfing.

Spanish Point is one of the beaches of Miltown Malbay, a pleasant small town of many nice old pubs.

Access: by road (N67) from North (via Lahinch) and south (via Quilty).
Visitor Information centre: Yes
